There are many advantages to living and working in rural Alberta. For Livingstone Range School Division teacher Ashton Ashley, family/work-life balance is everything.
It means she works alongside her husband on the family farm, providing her children with an agricultural lifestyle, and she enjoys her work as a teacher at F.P. Walshe School in Fort Macleod. From a short commute to friendships to relationships with students as they grow up, to being known and supported in your school division, working in rural education is invaluable.
This “Day in the Life” video celebrates the many benefits of working in rural education.
